Special Golden Week holidays' discounts offered by restaurants and hotel

More than 3,000 restaurants in the city are offering special discounts to celebrate the mainland's National Day Golden Week holiday, which extends to a total of eight days in combination with the Mid-Autumn Festival break.

A series of restaurant chains are set to offer 30 percent discounts while some hotel buffets will offer a special "buy-one-get-one-free" promotion.

A similar offer could be found in a number of convenience stores.

This as lawmaker Yiu Pak-leung from the tourism constituency expects a diverse range of celebratory events during the "golden week" including National Day fireworks displays and Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns.
