"Suaeda glauca" mostly thrives in saline-alkali soils. Every autumn at the Yanghe River estuary in Hongshiya Subdistrict of Shandong, over 3,000 mu of suaeda glauca transitions from green to red, spreading a stunning "red beach" along the shores of Jiaozhou Bay in Qingdao to create a unique local autumn spectacle.
