The government is installing 60 vehicle bollards around Causeway Bay.
Several anti-ram bollards have already been installed at the pedestrian crossing on Hennessy Road outside Sogo Department Store.
According to documents submitted by departments including the Transport Department and the Highways Department to the District Council earlier this year, vehicle impact protection facilities will be installed at the pedestrian crossing outside the department store.
A total of about 60 bollards will be installed across 5 locations with a total project cost of around 5 million dollars, meaning the average cost per bollard is around 83,000 dollars with construction expected to be completed within 3 to 4 months.
The actual progress adjusted according to on-site conditions, weather and other factors.
