A Japanese female DJ allegedly consumed a spiked drink in Tsim Sha Tsui Sunday.

Police arrested a 61-year-old local man in Central yesterday on suspicion of "administering poison with intent to harm."

Police say the case unfolded around 4:30am on November 1.

The 33-year-old Japanese female disc jockey, who holds a Hong Kong ID card, felt unwell after drinking the beverage at an entertainment venue on Mody Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

She was later sent to the hospital for treatment consciously.
