HK records second hottest day in November this afternoon

The Observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1 degrees Celsius this afternoon -- marking the second hottest day in November since records began.

Weather authorities said the city has been experiencing light wind with Sheung Shui recording 34.6 degrees this afternoon, surpassing the November heat record set since automatic weather stations began operations in 1980.

This as the Observatory expects the temperature will slightly drop by the start of next week.
