Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a "strong, right-wing" government in a defiant speech on Wednesday following the country's inconclusive election.
Speaking in Jerusalem, Netanyahu also slammed Arab-led parties whose representation expanded according to exit polls.
The polls indicated that neither Netanyahu's bloc nor the opposition secured enough seats for a majority, leaving the nation facing weeks of coalition haggling and political limbo.
While Netanyahu's Likud could emerge the largest party, voters disappointed in his far-right policies could challenge his return to power.
The final results are expected in the coming days.
