A 39-year-old man was confirmed to have contracted Mpox, having visited the "Hutong" venue at Mong Kok on numerous occasions during the incubation period.
The Centre for Health Protection suggested the facility to temporarily cease operations.
The infected individual began developing rashes across his right foot, face, back and buttocks on Monday.
He later sought medical help at a private clinic on Thursday before being referred to Yan Chai Hospital for isolation treatment.
Subsequent testing revealed the man tested positive for Mpox.
He was then transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital for further treatment.
The man visited the "Hutong" venue on Shanghai Street in Mong Kok on several occasions during the incubation period, where he had multiple high-risk sexual encounters with male strangers.
The CHP urges high-risk individuals to get vaccinated promptly and to keep their sexual partners' contacts, which will help authorities track down those who may be infected.
