Larry the cat back in No.10 after surgery

The UK Prime Minister's office shared that Larry the cat underwent a minor operation to remove a cyst and is now recovering well, 'feline much better but taking things one paw at a time.'

Adopted in 2011, the chief mouser has served under seven prime ministers, marking 15 years in the role this year.

It's quipped from the tabby's account that he has 'at least six lives left.'

Believed to have been born in January 2007, the veteran cat is now 19 years old.

Well-wishers celebrated his resilience as he resumes duties in the corridors of power.
