Students join bidding for Victoria Park LNY stalls

Bidding for stalls at next year's Victoria Park Lunar New Year fair enters its second day.

The morning session includes 46 large and 13 regular dry goods stalls.

Base prices start at 12,000 dollars and 8,000 dollars respectively.

Many secondary school students join the bidding.

Stall number one, located near the Gloucester Road

entrance in Causeway Bay, sells for 34,000 dollars after 23 bids.

The price drops by more than 30% compared to last year.

All 14 Lunar New Year fairs across Hong Kong run for seven days starting January 31.

They will end early morning on the first day of the Lunar New Year.
