When asked about substandard construction scandals in recent months, including the One Stanley case, Chief Executive John Lee says the government has asked the bureau to monitor relevant probes and if any violations are found over the suspected improper steel enforcement works, strict enforcement actions will be taken.

JOHN LEE: "I attach great importance to the construction quality of building works in Hong Kong. I am also concerned as to whether the professionals involved in the works have discharged their duties of supervision properly, and whether the contractor has carried out the works in breach of requirements."
