The CUHK Medical Society is holding a health exhibition on obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive health over three consecutive weekends, offering 4,000 free health checks to the public.

The CUHK Medical Society holds the "Source of Life" exhibitions at Yue Man Square in Kwun Tong, MCP Central in Tseung Kwan O, and Lok Fu Place.

There are checkpoints which offer free tests, including hand grip strength, body mass index, blood sugar, blood pressure, and on-site ultrasound bone density measurements.

Ms Lo being a vegetarian, wants to know if doctors would advise her to eat more of certain foods for nutrients.

The exhibition has 17 display boards and on-site explanations by CUHK students to help promote health awareness.

With an aging population and declining birth rate, the government actively responds with various measures to encourage childbirth, says Assistant Director of Health Jackie Leung.

One measure is providing free pre-pregnancy, antenatal and postnatal classes at District Health Centres across the city. This helps women plan their pregnancies in a healthy physical and mental state.

The exhibition opens from 10am to 6pm. Organisers expect to reach over 30,000 people, and provide 4,000 free health check quotas.

Citizens who receive a stamp card, by listening to the exhibition board introductions, and doing health check-ups to collect stamps, could redeem a hot water bottle.
