Abby Choi case juror withdraws

In the Abby Choi murder case, a 9-person jury was selected by the court yesterday. However, one juror has requested to withdraw, which may require the selection of a new jury.

The case has entered its fifth day of trial. The court selected 7 men and 2 women yesterday to form the jury. However, when court opened this morning, one juror was absent. The court stated that he did not wish to serve for personal reasons.

Regarding this change, the court is considering whether to continue the trial with the remaining 8 jurors; otherwise, the jury may need to be discharged, and a new jury re-selected next week.

The court adjourned until the afternoon to discuss the plan.
