Wang Yi and Dong Jun met Indonesian President Prabowo in Jakarta

Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Dong Jun met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta.

Wang and Dong met Prabowo at the latter’s official residence on Friday.

Wang says China and Indonesia have “obvious complementary advantages,” noting China is a reliable, long-term and stable partner in Indonesia’s national development process.

Wang says society’s development has proved openness leads to continuous progress, while isolation only results in backwardness.

Prabowo says Indonesia looks forward to deepening all-round strategic cooperation with China and he expects to attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen in November this year to further step up strategic communication and collaboration with China.
