Car overturns in Tseung Kwan O, injures 3

A private car overturned at Tseung Kwan O, and three people were injured.

The private car lay sideways across the middle of the Wan Po Road flyover. The 38-year-old male driver, with a scratched hand and blood on his clothes, was being investigated by police at the scene together with a male passenger. Another 30-year-old female passenger in the vehicle, suffering from headache and numbness on the left side of the body, was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment.

At nearly 6 am, the seven-seater vehicle was travelling along Wan Po Road towards Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. When it reached the Wan Po Road flyover, it allegedly lost control, hit a road sign and mounted a stone wall, then veered forward and overturned. Three people on board were trapped and later rescued by firefighters. Due to the accident, all lanes in both directions of the flyover were temporarily closed.
