Correctional Services van accident leaves two injured

A Correctional Services Department (CSD) vehicle suffered a tire blowout on the Central Kowloon Route, leaving two people injured.

After the incident, multiple police cars and CSD vehicles were called to the scene. Paramedics used stretchers to carry the injured into ambulances for medical treatment.

Police received a report around 9:00 AM that the CSD vehicle involved was traveling along the Central Kowloon Route toward Kwun Tong when it suspectedly blew a tire. A man and a woman on board were injured and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The CSD arranged two other department vehicles to arrive at the scene to transport the remaining passengers. Affected by the incident, the slow and middle lanes of the tunnel were temporarily closed.
