Legco members continue study tour in Beijing

A group of Legco members are in Beijing to carry out a closed-loop programme of study tours and inspections on national affairs.

They attended a special lecture yesterday morning at the National Academy of Administration on Xi Jin-ping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

From six areas including democracy and the rule of law, the lecture explained the country's development since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. This enabled the legislators to deeply understand that behind all this is the core and most important fundamental value of "people first".

It should help improve their thinking and align their direction, so that in carrying out their duties as Legislative Council members, they can put it into practice.
