Rain continues after Amber signal lowered

The Amber Rainstorm was in effect twice earlier today. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad trough of low pressure are affecting the coast of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea. Locally, around 30 millimetres of rainfall were recorded over many places this morning.

Today will be mainly cloudy with occasional showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Showers will be heavy at times at first. Moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds, occasionally strong on high ground.
