Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Committee holds final hearings

The independant committee looking into the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Fire has started a new round of hearings. The hearings are being held over 3 days at the Central Government Offices. This is the sixth and final round.

Different groups, such as the Urban Renewal Authority, the 12th Management Committee of Wang Fuk Court, and a fire engineering company, are giving their final statements. Their statements are posted on

the committee's website.

Comittee Chairman David Lok said the government's statement is over 400 pages long, while the committee's own statement is over 600 pages, and they will not be all read out in the hearings.
