From Scandinavia to the Alps, Europeans are enduring sweltering conditions as a heatwave linked to dozens of deaths spread east.
The heatwave is shattering all records with temperatures in some areas soaring above 40 degrees Celsius.
Tourists in Rome wilted in soaring temperatures as a heatwave continues to suffocate Western Europe. Many cooling down by drinking water and refilling their bottles at public water dispensers.
Authorities across the Netherlands are taking additional precautionary measures, as people are thronging to beaches and other water bodies to cool off.
And crowds gathered in soaring temperatures in Hungary's capital to celebrate the 31st annual Budapest Pride, the first such LGBTQ+ march since former Prime Minister Viktor Orban who had sought to ban the event was ousted in an April election.
