Police arrested two men on suspicion of manslaughter after a worker died last week.

The incident happened at a Tuen Mun recycling site last Wednesday. The 65-year-old male staff, who was an excavator operator, suffered from stomach injuries during his work and was later pronounced dead at Tuen Mun Hospital.

Investigation shows that the man was hit by his 51-year-old colleague who was operating an excavator at the time. It is understood that the colleague did not hold a valid licence.

Meanwhile, the police arrested a 29-year-old supervisor for allowing the man to operate the machine knowing that he did not have the licence.

The Labour Department has suspended the recycling site's operation since the accident.
