Black Rainstorm Signal in force and PM schools suspended

The Black Rainstorm Warning Signal was issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 12:55 p.m. It is expected to

remain in force until at least 3p.m.

The rain was heaviest in the Tuen Mun and Yuen Long areas.

The government says students of PM schools do not have to attend school this afternoon.

Schools should keep their premises open and implement contingency measures to look after arriving students.

Schools which are in session should continue until the end of school hours. They should ensure that conditions are safe before allowing students to return home.
