Movie producer Raymond Wong Pak-ming has been sentenced to five months behind bars after being convicted of insider dealing in Pegasus Entertainment shares in a criminal prosecution brought by the Securities and Futures Commission.

The 80-year-old chairman and controlling shareholder of Pegasus was charged with advising his sister to trade the company's shares before the inside information was disclosed to the market. He was also fined nearly 100,000 dollars.

Wong continues to appeal the verdict.
