Police have granted bail to a trainee doctor who was arrested on suspicion of accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent. The Hospital Authority has fired her following an investigation into a series of misconduct allegations
The 24-year-old intern doctor came out from Cheung Sha Wan Police Station at around 5 pm on Saturday. Earlier, the police brought her to Caritas Medical Centre, where she received her training, to search for evidence.
Authorities arrested the trainee on Friday after she was reported to have used another person's account and accessed patient records at Tuen Mun Hospital without permission in May, which was during her internship period.
She also used medical equipment without authorisation to X-ray her knee and posted it on social media.
