The School-based After School Care Service Scheme new year ceremony

The School-based After School Care Service Scheme's commendation and the new school year launching ceremony was held today.
Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan and Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun officiated the ceremony. The scheme was rolled out in the 2023/24 school year by the Community Care Fund.
Social welfare organisations arrange social workers or tutors to offer on-site care and learning support to pupils after school within school premises.
As of March, around 200 primary schools are taking part with quotas for 10,500 students.
