The government announces the expansion of the Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles.
Starting mid-year, the scheme will expand to all nine mainland cities of the Greater Bay Area to include Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Huizhou and Zhaoqing.
The travel booking quota of entry into urban areas in Hong Kong will increase from 100 to 200 vehicles per day.
The maximum stay for each vehicle remains three days.
Vehicles from the newly joined cities could use the "Park & Fly" service of the port carpark starting from June 15.
These vehicles can enter Hong Kong via the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the travel booking quota will increase beginning July 25.
Authorities target to expand the scheme to all 21 cities in Guangdong Province by the first quarter in 2027. As of May, around 8,400 vehicles have been approved to enter urban areas in Hong Kong with a total of around 6,700 travel bookings.
