The fatal stabbing of a white British teenager has stirred up issues on race, policing and knife crime in the UK.

The killing of Henry Nowak happened last December, but the case received renewed attention after the killer was sentenced to life imprisonment on Monday.

On the night of the killing, the police did not believe Nowak when he said he was stabbed - he was instead handcuffed by officers while his killer, a Sikh youth, stood nearby.

After the sentencing, Nowak's father said the case was not about racism or religion, and he wanted his son's death to lead to safer streets.

However, Nigel Farage of the Reform Party insists there is two-tier policing, that authorities treat certain racial

or social groups more leniently, an accusation denied by government officials.
