The Primary One placement results, originally scheduled for release Wednesday morning, were sent to some parents a day earlier due to a system configuration issue, according to the Education Bureau.

Some parents reported receiving a text message from the Education Bureau around 9:00 AM this morning informing them of their child's Primary One placement results.

However, the text message mentioned the placement year as 2025, and the date parents were required to visit their assigned school also displayed 2025.

Some parents called the Education Bureau for inquiries and were told it was due to a telecommunications error.

Some kindergartens have cited the Education Bureau online, saying that there was a system error and the placement results released today are incorrect; the correct results will be released tomorrow.

The Education Bureau responded by saying that due to a system setting issue, a text message containing Primary One placement results was sent to parents today. Parents are urged not to pay attention to the message, as the official results will be sent tomorrow as scheduled.

The Bureau said that it has fixed the system and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to parents.
