Rare birth of triplets of yaks in Xizang

An eight-year-old Yak in Biru County, Xizang, gave birth to triplets at an altitude of over 4,000 meters on a grassland.

Yaks are typically single-birth livestock, and the chance of a yak giving birth to triplets under natural conditions is less than one in 500,000.

Natural births in the high-altitude, low-oxygen, and cold pastoral areas of northern Xizang are extremely rare.
