John Lee: no plan for more reshuffles

Chief Executive John Lee said there are currently no plans to make any further personnel changes regarding Secretaries following the resignation of Erick Tsang from the post of Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs.

Lee said there is often much interest and speculation in the public regarding the government's operations and internal affairs.

He said: “I can formally tell everyone that these speculations are incorrect. I have no plans to make any further personnel changes to Secretaries because they are all actively fulfilling their duties as I require. In fact, there is a great deal of work to be done.

Every Secretary and Director is determined to do their utmost to achieve the work I require, and I have great confidence in them.

In fact, if Erick Tsang's health permits, I would like him to remain in his position, but I understand his situation. Therefore, these rumors are incorrect."
