The now-disbanded Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China is facing trial today for inciting others to subvert state power. Albert Ho pleaded guilty in court.
Former Alliance chairman Lee Chuk-yan, former vice-chairmen Albert Ho and Tonyee Chow Hang-tung, who are currently in custody, were transported in a prison van to the West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts for trial this morning.
The case will be heard by three judges appointed under the National Security Law and is expected to last 75 days.
They are charged with inciting others to subvert state power between July 1, 2020 and September 8, 2021.
Albert Ho pleaded guilty in court, while the other defendants pleaded not guilty.
