Grizzly bear attacks schoolchildren in Canada, injuring 11

A grizzly bear attacked a group of schoolchildren and teachers on a walking trail in British Columbia, Canada, injuring 11 people.

Tamara Davidson, Minister of Environment and Parks for British Columbia, said in a Friday press conference three children and one adult were seriously injured.

Davidson said these four victims would remain hospitalized and that families asked for privacy.

The attack happened on Thursday afternoon in Bella Coola, 700 kilometres northwest of Vancouver.
